Analog Devices ADuC841/ADuC842/ADuC843 User Manual
The ADuC841, ADuC842, and ADuC843 are 12‑bit microcontroller families that integrate a high‑performance ADC, dual DAC (except ADuC843), and a single‑cycle 20 MIPS 8052 core on a single chip. They are pin‑compatible upgrades of the ADuC812/ADuC831 series and are offered in 52‑lead PQFP and chip‑scale packages.
This manual contains functional descriptions, pin configurations, electrical specifications, memory organization, peripheral registers, timing diagrams, development tool information, and ordering guides. It also includes detailed ADC and DAC specifications, power‑supply requirements, and hardware design considerations.

Questions answered in these manuals
What is the workaround for UART Mode 0 operation?
UART Mode 0 is nonfunctional on these devices, and there are no workarounds provided.
How should code handle interrupts during DATAFLASH/EE read or write?
All interrupts must be disabled prior to a read or write operation by setting the EA bit to 0.
What is the difference between ADuC841 and ADuC842?
The ADuC841 is clocked directly from an external crystal up to 20 MHz, whereas the ADuC842 uses a 32 kHz crystal with an on-chip PLL.
What is the difference between ADuC842 and ADuC843?
The ADuC843 is identical to the ADuC842 except that it has no analog DAC outputs.
How much on‑chip Flash memory is available?
The device includes up to 62 kBytes of on‑chip Flash program memory.
