Analog Devices ADV7189B Multiformat SDTV Video Decoder Datasheet

The ADV7189B is a high-quality, single-chip multiformat video decoder that automatically detects and converts standard analog baseband television signals (NTSC, PAL, and SECAM) into digital ITU-R BT.656 format. It integrates three 54 MHz, noise-shaped 12-bit ADCs and supports multiple analog input formats including CVBS, S-Video, and YPrPb component video across 12 channels.

The device features an adaptive digital line-length tracking (ADLLT) algorithm to handle weak or noisy sources like VCRs and tuners, along with 5-line adaptive comb filters for superior chrominance and luminance separation. It includes programmable video controls for peak white, hue, brightness, saturation, and contrast, and supports various VBI data services such as closed captioning and wide screen signaling.
