Analog Devices ADV7184 Multiformat SDTV Video Decoder Datasheet Rev A
The ADV7184 is a single‑chip multiformat video decoder that automatically detects NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards and converts composite, S‑video or component inputs to a digital ITU‑R BT.656 output. It integrates four 10‑bit ADCs, a 12‑channel analog front‑end, and a flexible digital interface with I²C control, making it suitable for DVD recorders, set‑top boxes, security cameras and other video applications.
The document provides detailed electrical, video, analog, thermal and timing specifications, pin descriptions, PCB layout recommendations and programming examples. It also includes functional block diagrams, timing diagrams and absolute maximum ratings to aid designers in implementing the device.
