STMicroelectronics STVM100 I2C LCD/e-paper VCOM Calibrator Datasheet
The STVM100 is a programmable VCOM adjustment solution designed for thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) and e-paper applications. It functions as a digital replacement for mechanical potentiometers to remove flickers in LCDs and avoid the ghosting effect in e-paper displays. The device features an I2C interface and an adjustable sink current output to drive an external resistive voltage divider for VCOM adjustment.
The STVM100 allows factory operators to physically view the screen during VCOM adjustment, significantly reducing labor costs and enabling automation. Once the desired VCOM setting is achieved, it is stored in an internal EEPROM and automatically recalled during each power-up. The device is available in 8-pin TDFN8 or TSSOP8 packages and operates with logic supply voltages from 2.25 V to 3.6 V.
