TEXAS INSTRUMENTS TPS2041A TPS2042A TPS2043A TPS2044A TPS2051A TPS2052A TPS2053A TPS2054A CURRENT-LIMITED POWER-DISTRIBUTION SWITCHES handbook

Datasheet

The TPS2041A through TPS2044A and TPS2051A through TPS2054A power-distribution switches are intended for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are likely to be encountered. These devices incorporate 80-mΩ N-channel MOSFET high-side power switches for power-distribution systems that require multiple power switches in a single package. Each switch is controlled by an independent logic enable input. Gate drive is provided by an internal charge pump designed to control the power-switch rise times and fall times to minimize current surges during switching. The charge pump requires no external components and allows operation from supplies as low as 2.7 V. When the output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short is present, these devices limit the output current to a safe level.

Datasheet

TPS2041A, TPS2042A, TPS2043A, TPS2044A TPS2051A, TPS2052A, TPS2053A, TPS2054A are current-limited power-distribution switches from Texas Instruments. These switches are designed for applications where heavy capacitive loads and short circuits are likely to be encountered. Each channel can withstand 500 mA of continuous current and also features overcurrent logic output, thermal protection, and short-circuit protection.

The TPS2041A, TPS2042A, TPS2043A, TPS2044A TPS2051A, TPS2052A, TPS2053A, TPS2054A are current limited power distribution switches with an overcurrent logic output. They feature 80 mΩ high side MOSFET switches with 500 mA of continuous current per channel. These devices can be controlled through independent logic enable inputs. The internal charge pump provides control over the power switch rise and fall times to minimize current surges during switching. The charge pump requires no external components and allows operation from supplies as low as 2.7 V. When the output load exceeds the current limit threshold or a short is present, these devices will limit the output current to a safe level.
