Philips ISP1161A1 USB Host and Device Controller Datasheet
The ISP1161A1 is a single‑chip USB controller that integrates both a host controller (HC) and a device controller (DC) on the same die. It complies with USB Specification Rev. 2.0, offering full‑speed (12 Mbit/s) and low‑speed (1.5 Mbit/s) operation for the host side and full‑speed for the device side. The chip provides two downstream ports for the host and one upstream port for the device, with separate I/O, DMA channels and interrupt pins for each function.
The device is targeted at embedded systems such as PDAs, digital cameras, set‑top boxes and other portable electronics. It supports up to 14 programmable USB endpoints, on‑chip FIFO buffers (4 kB for HC, 2.5 kB for DC), a 6 MHz crystal oscillator with PLL, and can operate from either a 5 V or 3.3 V supply. It is offered in LQFP64 packages (SOT314‑2 and SOT414‑1) and operates over a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C.
