Maxim MAX200-MAX211/MAX213 RS-232 Transceiver Datasheet
The MAX200‑MAX211/MAX213 series provides RS‑232 and V.28 drivers and receivers that operate from a single +5 V supply. On‑board charge‑pump converters generate the required ±10 V RS‑232 levels, and the devices meet EIA/TIA‑232E and CCITT V.28 specifications up to 120 kbits/sec.
The family is offered in 28‑pin SO and SSOP packages (and 24‑pin variants for other members) and includes low‑power shutdown modes (down to 1 pA) and active‑high receiver enable control. Typical applications include laptops, handheld equipment, and other battery‑powered systems.
