Maxim MAX2839 RF Transceiver Datasheet
The MAX2839 is a direct‑conversion, zero‑IF RF transceiver designed for 2 GHz 802.16e MIMO mobile WiMAX systems. It integrates a transmitter, two receivers, a VCO, sigma‑delta fractional‑N PLL, crystal oscillator and baseband/control interfaces, requiring only a few external components for a complete broadband solution.
Key features include >40 dB isolation between receivers, programmable on‑chip filters, fast 2 µs Tx‑Rx switching, low‑noise VCO, and a 56‑pin TQFN package (8 mm × 8 mm × 0.8 mm). The device supports up to 2048‑FFT OFDM, programmable channel filters (3.5 MHz‑20 MHz) and provides extensive digital control via a 4‑wire SPI interface.
