Maxim MAX3186 Datasheet
The MAX3186 provides a complete DCE RS‑232 interface designed for modem applications. It features five transmitters, three receivers, and no charge pump, delivering reliable communication up to 230 kbps while meeting stringent IEC 1000‑4‑2 ESD standards.
The device operates from dual supply rails (VCC 4.5‑5.5 V, VDD 10.8‑13.2 V, VSS –10.8 to –13.2 V) with low supply currents (<300 µA for I DD/I SS). It is offered in 20‑pin SSOP and SO packages and supports temperature ranges from –40 °C to +85 °C depending on the grade.
