Maxim MAX9759 Class D Audio Amplifier Datasheet

Maxim MAX9759 Class D Audio Amplifier Datasheet

Datasheet 20 pages · 722 KB · EN

The MAX9759 mono Class D audio power amplifier provides Class AB audio performance with the efficiency of Class D, eliminating the need for a heatsink and extending battery life. It delivers up to 3.2 W of continuous power into a 4 Ω load while offering greater than 90 % efficiency and operates without an external LC filter.

The device features selectable gain (6 dB, 12 dB, 18 dB, 24 dB), high PSRR (81 dB), low THD+N (0.02 %), and SNR above 90 dB. It supports external clock synchronization via the SYNC pin, allowing cascade operation of multiple Maxim Class D amplifiers. The MAX9759 operates from a single 5 V supply, consumes 8.4 mA quiescent current, and is available in a 16‑pin thin‑QFN package rated for –40 °C to +85 °C.
