Texas Instruments bq2058 Lithium Ion Pack Supervisor Datasheet
The bq2058 Lithium Ion Pack Supervisor is designed to control charge and discharge cell voltages for three or four lithium ion series cells. It protects the battery pack by monitoring individual cells for overvoltage and undervoltage conditions, as well as monitoring the pack for overcurrent events.
The device drives external FET switches to limit charging and discharging potentials based on user-configurable thresholds and delays. It features a low supply current of 25µA typical and sleep current of 0.7µA typical, making it suitable for battery pack integration with minimal external components.
