Maxim DS2405 Addressable Switch Datasheet
The DS2405 Addressable Switch is an open‑drain N‑channel MOSFET with a unique 64‑bit factory‑laser‑etched registration number that provides both identification and remote control over a 1‑Wire bus. It draws all of its power parasitically from the bus and can be toggled or sensed via a single data pin.
The device supports multiple units on the same bus, offers a maximum data rate of 16.3 kbits/s, and includes detailed electrical characteristics such as voltage limits, temperature ranges, and timing parameters for reliable communication.

Questions answered in these manuals
What powers the DS2405?
The DS2405 derives its power entirely from the 1‑Wire bus using a parasitic power source.
How many DS2405 devices can share a 1‑Wire bus?
Multiple DS2405s can be identified on a common 1‑Wire bus and operated independently.
How is the DS2405 powered?
The device derives its power entirely from the 1‑Wire bus (parasite power) using an external pull‑up voltage.
