Maxim DS8007 Multiprotocol Dual Smart Card Interface Datasheet
The DS8007 is a low‑cost, multiprotocol dual smart‑card interface supporting ISO 7816, EMV® and GSM 11‑11 requirements. It connects to Maxim secure microcontrollers via an 8‑bit parallel bus (multiplexed or non‑multiplexed) and includes an integrated ISO 7816 UART for independent, variable‑baud‑rate communication with each card.
The device provides full electrical signals for two smart cards, optional third‑card support through auxiliary I/O, and an integrated voltage converter for 1.8 V/3 V/5 V cards across a 2.7 V–6 V supply range. Electrical characteristics, timing parameters, and package information are detailed for design engineers.
