Maxim MAX3293/MAX3294/MAX3295 RS-485/RS-422 Transceiver Datasheet
The MAX3293, MAX3294 and MAX3295 are low‑power, high‑speed RS‑485/RS‑422 transmitters that operate from a single +3.3 V supply. They are offered in a 6‑pin SOT23 package and are specified over the automotive temperature range (-40 °C to +125 °C). The devices include hot‑swap circuitry, current limiting and thermal‑shutdown protection.
Key features include slew‑rate limited operation for the MAX3293 (250 kbps) and MAX3294 (2.5 Mbps) to reduce EMI and reflections, and a high‑speed MAX3295 capable of up to 20 Mbps. All devices guarantee a differential output level of +1.5 V into a 54 Ω load and support a common‑mode input range of –7 V to +12 V.
