This document is about SSM2317. SSM2317 is a Filterless High Efficiency Mono 3 W Class-D Audio Amplifier with Automatic Level Control (ALC) function, which can improve dynamic range and prevent distortion. Its maximum output power is 3 W, and its working voltage range is 2.5 V to 5.5 V.

The SSM2317 is a filterless high-efficiency 3W mono class-D audio amplifier. It features automatic level control (ALC) that improves dynamic range and prevents clipping. It can deliver 3W into a 3Ω load and 1.4W into an 8Ω load at 5.0V supply with less than 10% total harmonic distortion (ALC off). It can deliver 700mW into an 8Ω load at 4.2V supply (ALC 80%). It has an efficiency of 93% at 5.0V, 1.4W into an 8Ω speaker and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of over 93dB. It supports single-supply operation from 2.5V to 5.5V. Additionally, it has an ultralow shutdown current of 20nA, short-circuit and thermal protection, a 9-ball 1.5mm x 1.5mm WLCSP package, pop-and-click suppression, and built-in resistors to reduce board component count.
