MAX4620/MAX4630/MAX4640 low-voltage, high- ESD-protected, quad, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches are pin-compatible replacements for the industry-standard 74HC4066 analog switch.

The MAX4620/MAX4630/MAX4640 are low-voltage, high-ESD-protected, quad, single-pole/single-throw (SPST) analog switches that can replace the industry-standard 74HC4066 analog switch. The switches are protected against ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) without latchup or damage. Each switch can handle Rail-to-Rail® analog signals and is suitable for low-distortion audio applications and current switching in automated test equipment. The switches have low power requirements, small board space, and higher reliability compared to mechanical relays. They operate from a +2V to +12V single supply, making them ideal for battery-powered applications. The switches have a maximum on-resistance of 70Ω, matched between switches to 0.5Ω (typ), and flat (2Ω(typ)) over the specified signal range. The MAX4620 has four normally open (NO) switches, the MAX4630 has four normally closed (NC) switches, and the MAX4640 has two NO and two NC switches.
