Maxim MAX2057 Variable-Gain Amplifier Datasheet
The MAX2057 general‑purpose VGA operates from 1300 MHz to 2700 MHz and delivers up to 15.5 dB of gain with a typical noise figure of 6 dB. It provides a 1 dB compression point of 23.8 dBm and a constant OIP3 of 37 dBm across the full attenuation range. The device includes on‑chip analog attenuators offering selectable 21 dB or 42 dB gain‑control ranges and is pin‑compatible with the MAX2056.
The amplifier is supplied by a single +5 V rail, packaged in a 36‑pin thin QFN (6 mm × 6 mm × 0.8 mm) with an exposed pad for thermal and RF grounding. Electrical performance is guaranteed from –40 °C to +85 °C, and the part can be configured for reduced‑power operation via external bias resistors.
