Analog Devices AD7721 16‑Bit Sigma‑Delta ADC Datasheet
The AD7721 is a 12‑/16‑bit sigma‑delta analog‑to‑digital converter that operates from a +5 V supply. It offers both serial and parallel interfaces, allowing high‑speed data access for microcontrollers and DSPs. The device uses a single‑bit DAC in the modulator to achieve excellent linearity and includes on‑chip calibration for offset and gain.
Key features include a 468.75 kHz output word rate, low power consumption (as low as 100 µW in standby), and selectable input ranges (±1.25 V bipolar or 0‑2.5 V unipolar). The integrated FIR filters reduce external anti‑aliasing requirements, and the part supports clock frequencies up to 15 MHz (serial) or 10 MHz (parallel).
