Linear Technology LT3692A Dual 3A Buck Converter Datasheet
The LT3692A is a monolithic dual 3A step-down converter designed to simplify DC/DC conversion in automotive, industrial, and distributed power systems. It features a wide input voltage range from 3V to 36V and includes overvoltage transient protection up to 60V. The device offers flexible configuration options, allowing designers to power it from one or two separate inputs while producing two independent outputs or parallelized high-current supplies.
Key design features include completely independent channels with programmable undervoltage lockout (UVLO) and overvoltage lockout (OVLO). The converter supports adjustable switching frequencies between 250kHz and 2.25MHz, which can be synchronized across multiple regulators via a clock output pin. Additional protections include soft-start to eliminate input current surges, internal thermal shutdown, and programmable power good outputs for system sequencing.
