The ADG438F/ADG439F is a high performance 4/8 channel fault-protected analog multiplexer. This multiplexer has fast switching times (tON 250 ns max, tOFF 150 ns max), fault protection and overvoltage protection (-40 V, +55 V), all switches off with power supply off, analog output of ON channel clamped within power supplies if an overvoltage occurs, high reliability structure, TTL and CMOS compatible inputs, etc., which can be applied to data acquisition systems, industrial and process control systems, avionics test equipment, signal routing between systems and high reliability control systems.

The ADG438F and ADG439F are CMOS analog multiplexers, with the ADG438F comprising eight single channels and the ADG439F comprising four differential channels. These multiplexers provide fault protection. Using a series n-channel, p-channel, and n-channel MOSFETs, these switches provide fault protection over all power supply voltages (-40 V to +55 V). The switching times (tON and tOFF) are extremely fast, being 250 ns and 150 ns respectively. The ADG438F and ADG439F are high-performance, high-reliability, low-power switches.

All switches are turned off when the power supply is turned off, and if an overvoltage occurs, the analog output of the ON channel will be clamped within the power supply.
