The ADM485E, ADM487E and ADM1487E are 5 V, low‑power, half‑duplex RS‑485/RS‑422 transceivers that provide ±15 kV human‑body‑model ESD protection. They are designed for balanced data transmission, comply with TIA/EIA RS‑485 and RS‑422 standards, and are available in 8‑lead SOIC packages.
The devices support data rates up to 2.5 Mbps (ADM485E/ADM1487E) or 250 kbps (ADM487E), feature thermal shutdown and short‑circuit protection, and operate over an industrial temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C.
