Motorola MAC228A Series Triac Datasheet
The Motorola MAC228A Series consists of silicon bidirectional triode thyristors designed primarily for industrial and consumer applications. These devices are intended for full-wave control of AC loads such as appliance controls, heater controls, motor controls, and other power switching applications.
Key features include sensitive gate triggering in three modes for AC triggering on sinking current sources, four-mode triggering for drive circuits that source current, and diffused glass-passivated junctions. The devices feature a small, rugged thermowatt construction with center gate geometry for uniform current spreading.
