Analog Devices ADP3336 Low Dropout Regulator Handbook
The ADP3336 is a high‑accuracy, ultra‑low dropout (LDO) regulator that operates from 2.6 V to 12 V and delivers up to 500 mA continuous load current. It features ±0.9 % output voltage accuracy at 25 °C, a typical 200 mV dropout at 500 mA, and an ultralow shutdown current below 1 µA, making it suitable for space‑constrained applications such as PCMCIA cards, cellular phones, camcorders and networking equipment.
The device is stable with any good‑quality capacitor (anyCAP) as low as 1 µF, includes current‑limit and thermal‑overload protection, and uses a paddle‑under‑lead MSOP‑8 package with a thermal resistance of 110 °C/W. Detailed specifications, pin functions, theory of operation, and layout recommendations are provided for designers.
