Analog Devices ADP3301 Voltage Regulator Handbook
The ADP3301 is a precision low‑dropout regulator that delivers up to 100 mA with excellent line and load regulation. It features a novel anyCAP™ architecture that works with any type of output capacitor, ultralow dropout voltage, and very low noise.
Designed for portable and battery‑powered equipment, the device is used in cellular phones, notebooks, barcode scanners, and as a post‑regulator for switching supplies. It includes thermal overload protection, shutdown control, and an error‑flag output for fault detection.

Questions answered in these manuals
What external component is required for stability?
Only a small 0.47 µF bypass capacitor on the output is needed for stability.
How does the ADP3301 protect against overheating?
It includes thermal overload protection that limits the die temperature to 165 °C and reduces output current if the limit is exceeded.
What is the typical dropout voltage of the ADP3301?
The ADP3301 has a typical dropout voltage of 100 mV when delivering 100 mA.
