Analog Devices ADE5166/ADE5169/ADE5566/ADE5569 Handbook
The ADE5166, ADE5169, ADE5566 and ADE5569 are single‑phase energy‑measurement ICs that integrate an analog front‑end, a fixed‑function DSP, an 8052‑based MCU, a real‑time clock and an LCD driver in a single package. They support active, reactive and apparent energy calculations, RMS voltage and current measurements, and comply with IEC 62053‑21/22/23, EN 50470‑3 and ANSI C12‑16 standards.
The devices also include a 62 kB flash memory, 2.256 kB RAM, dual UARTs, SPI/PC interface, and LCD drivers (104‑segment for ADE5166/ADE5169, 108‑segment for ADE5566/ADE5569). Power‑saving modes, battery switchover, and extensive fault‑detection features enable low‑power operation for electronic energy meters.
