ADE5166/ADE5169/ADE5566/ADE5569 are single-phase energy measurement ICs with 8052 MCU, RTC, and LCD driver. They provide high accuracy active (watt), reactive (var), and apparent energy (volt-ampere (VA)) measurement.
The ADE5169 is a single‑phase energy measurement integrated circuit that combines an analog front‑end, a fixed‑function DSP, and an 8052‑based microcontroller with a real‑time clock, LCD driver, and peripheral interfaces. It is designed for electronic energy meters with LCD displays and supports active, reactive, and apparent energy calculations as well as voltage and current RMS measurements.
The device operates from a 2.4 V to 3.7 V supply, offers ultralow power modes, 62 kB of flash memory, and a range of digital interfaces including UART, SPI, and PC‑compatible ports. Detailed specifications, register maps, and power‑management features are provided throughout the handbook.
