Philips NE/SA605 High Performance Low Power Mixer FM IF System Datasheet
The Philips NE/SA605 is a high-performance monolithic low-power FM IF system that incorporates a mixer/oscillator, two limiting intermediate frequency amplifiers, a quadrature detector, muting, a logarithmic received signal strength indicator (RSSI), and a voltage regulator. It combines the functions of Signetics' NE602 and NE604A but features a higher mixer input intercept point, higher IF bandwidth (25MHz), and temperature-compensated RSSI and limiters.

Why is power‑bypass important for the SA605 receiver?
Power‑bypass reduces supply noise; the ESR of the bypass capacitor must be checked because a high ESR can degrade receiver performance.
