Maxim MAX6698 Temperature Sensor Datasheet
The MAX6698 precision multichannel temperature sensor monitors its own temperature, three external diode‑connected transistors, and three thermistors. All channels have programmable alert thresholds, and channels 1, 4, 5, and 6 also support programmable over‑temperature thresholds. The device communicates via a 2‑wire SMBus‑compatible serial interface and provides two open‑drain outputs (OVERT and ALERT) for interrupt or shutdown signaling.
The sensor operates from –40 °C to +125 °C and is available in 16‑pin QSOP and TSSOP packages. It features low standby current (less than 15 µA) and supports standard SMBus protocols for reading temperature data and programming alarm thresholds.
