Intersil ISL29000 Ambient Light Photo Detect IC Datasheet
The ISL29000 is a light-to-current optical sensor that combines a photodiode and a current amplifier on a single monolithic IC. The output current is directly proportionate to the light intensity on the photodiode, offering superior sensitivity and linearity compared to phototransistors. It is housed in an ultra-compact surface mount clear plastic package suitable for power saving control functions in cell phones, PDAs, and other handheld applications.
