The CP 36FO28 supplementary capacitor is an AC capacitor that is designed for single correction of the power factor of transformers and magnetic ballasts in discharge lighting sources (such as fluorescent, halogen and ceramic metal halide lamps, high pressure mercury lamps, and sodium lamps) with a line frequency of 50 or 60Hz. This provides an increased power factor for the light source, cosĪ¼ exceeding 0.85.
