Microchip MCP73841/2/3/4 Charge Management Controllers Datasheet
The MCP7384xX family of devices are highly advanced linear charge management controllers designed for space-limited, cost-sensitive applications. The family includes the MCP73841 and MCP73842, which offer complete stand-alone solutions with cell temperature monitoring in 10-pin MSOP packages, and the MCP73843 and MCP73844, which omit the temperature monitor and are available in 8-pin MSOP packages.
These controllers provide high-accuracy preset voltage regulation options of 4.1V, 4.2V for single-cell applications, and 8.2V, 8.4V for dual-series cell applications. Key features include programmable charge current, safety timers, automatic end-of-charge control, preconditioning for deeply depleted cells, and automatic power-down when input power is removed.
