This document introduces the features and characteristics of Microchip Technology Inc.'s high-performance RISC CPU products, including C-compiler optimized architecture instruction set, linear program memory addressing up to 32 Kbytes, linear data memory addressing up to 4 Kbytes, and up to 10 MIPS operation speed. In addition, the document also describes the peripheral features of the product, such as high current sink/source, multiple I/O ports with individual direction control, external interrupt pins, timer modules, capture/compare/PWM (CCP) modules, etc. It also includes advanced analog features such as a 10-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter module, addressable USART module, and Master Synchronous Serial Port (MSSP).
