This document introduces the PIC16C9XX series 8-bit CMOS microcontrollers, including PIC16C923 and PIC16C924. The series features a high-performance RISC CPU, only 35 single-word instructions to learn, 4K x 14 on-chip EPROM program memory, 176 x 8 general-purpose registers, single-cycle instructions (500 ns), interrupt capability, an eight-level deep hardware stack, and various peripheral features such as 25 I/O pins with individual direction control, timers, capture input, PWM output, and compare output. Additionally, it includes a programmable LCD timing module that supports multiple LCD driving modes and can drive the LCD panel while in sleep mode.
