STMicroelectronics L6472 dSPIN Microstepping Motor Driver Datasheet
The L6472 is a fully integrated microstepping motor driver for two-phase bipolar stepper motors, made in analog mixed signal technology. It integrates a dual low RDS(on) DMOS full bridge with on-chip current sensing, and achieves 1/16 microstepping through an adaptive decay mode.
The digital control core generates user-defined motion profiles with acceleration, deceleration, speed or target position, programmed through a register set. Commands and data registers are sent over a standard 5-Mbit/s SPI, and the device includes thermal, low bus voltage and overcurrent protections. The datasheet covers electrical data, pin connections, functional description, phase current control, serial interface, programming, application commands and package mechanical data.
