ADSP-2181 is a single-chip microcomputer launched by Cypress Company. It has high performance, low power consumption and multifunctional features. It adopts a 3-bus architecture, supports dual-operand fetching in every instruction cycle, and single-cycle instruction execution. ADSP-2181 also has independent ALU, multiplier/accumulator and barrel shifter computational units, as well as two independent data address generators and powerful program sequencer. In addition, ADSP-2181 also integrates a 16-bit internal DMA port for high-speed access to on-chip memory.
