Maxim MAX731/MAX752 Data Sheet
The MAX731 and MAX752 are CMOS step‑up DC‑DC switch‑mode regulators. The MAX731 accepts a positive input voltage between +2.5 V and +5.25 V and provides a fixed +5 V output at 200 mA. The MAX752 is an adjustable version that converts a minimum of +1.8 V to any voltage up to +15 V, also at up to 200 mA. Both devices use current‑mode PWM control, offer cycle‑by‑cycle current limiting, over‑current protection, external shutdown, and programmable soft‑start.
The document includes absolute maximum ratings, electrical characteristics, typical operating waveforms, pin descriptions, recommended external components, layout guidelines, and ordering information for multiple package options (8‑Pin DIP, 16‑Pin Wide SO, etc.).
