  • Agilent CombiZorb Scavengers . . . For removal of unwanted components from combinatorial chemistry reaction mixtures Application Note(1)

This document describes the features and characteristics of Agilent CombiZorb Scavengers, including non-swelling, broad solvent compatibility, no metal content, and no static electricity.

  • Agilent Plant Hormones rapid gradient elution separation

The document describes the features and characteristics of some plant growth regulators, including the types and mechanisms of plant hormones.

  • Agilent Eecovery collection with the Agilent 1100 Series purification system

This Application Note shows three system configurations for recovery collection with the Agilent 1100 Series purification system1,2. One configuration uses a 12-position/13-port valve 3 in the waste line of the fraction collector, which offers up to twelve recovery locations. Another possibility is to use a third-party fraction collector, controlled by the ChemStation through external contacts using a BCD board. The most sophisticated approach, however, is to use a dedicated Agilent 1100 Series fraction collector, which gives complete recovery location tracking with the graphical user interface of the software or in the reports.

  • Agilent Technologies 5973 Application Note

Electron capture negative chemical ionization mass spectrometry is used to analyze cannabinoids in biological matrices.

  • Agilent Efficient Screening for Pesticides Endocrine Disrupters Using the 6890/ 5973 GC/MSD System.

This document describes a GC/MS method using RTL technology that allows for the analysis of 567 of the most common pesticides and endocrine disrupters used worldwide. By utilizing the RTL functionality with the 6890/5973 GC/MSD system, a new database containing mass spectra and compound retention times has been developed. When combined with the compound screening tools in the MSD Productivity ChemStation software, data files can be easily, accurately, and quickly screened for the presence of any of the 567 compounds listed in the database. Additionally, the software features enable the detection of compounds that may usually be masked by others.

  • Agilent Analysis of Antiarrythmic Drugsby HPLC

The four antiarrhythmic drugs, quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide and its metabolite N-acetylprocainamide are separated by HPLC using gradient analysis on a reversed phase column and UV detection. The method is accurate and reliable, and can be used for the determination of these drugs in biological fluids.

  • Agilent Analysis of Antianginal Drugs by HPLC

The document describes a drug called Verapamil, which is a calcium antagonist used to treat hypertension, cardiac arrhythmia, and angina pectoris. The drug also shows some prophylactic effects against migraines.

  • Agilent Analysis of Antiasthmatic Drugs by HPLC

The HPLC method presented here shows the chromatogram of the four common antiasthmatic drugs theophylline, theobromine, caffeine and emprofylline using isocratic analysis on a reversed phase column and UV detection.

  • Agilent Analysis of testosterone metabolites using HPLC

This document introduces the detailed steps for analyzing testosterone and its metabolites using HPLC.

  • Agilent Oligonucleotides Fraction Collection from Capillary Gel Electrophoresis Offline MALDI-TOF

This document describes the collection of fractions from an oligonucleotide separation using gel electrophoresis and offline MALDI-TOF analysis. By using the Agilent oligonucleotide kit and Agilent Capillary Electrophoresis system, antisense oligonucleotides can be successfully separated. The Agilent ChemStation software allows for fully automated collection of fractions using signal A as the peak sensor. This method enables further analysis of the separated peaks and determination of the molecular mass.

  • Agilent Analysis of Fat Soluble Vitamins using HPLC

This article describes the use of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the analysis of fat-soluble vitamins. HPLC can separate and detect these compounds at room temperature while blocking oxygen and light. UV-visible diode-array detection provides both qualitative and quantitative data. Electrochemical detection is also a highly sensitive and selective HPLC method. Different food matrices require different extraction procedures, including alkaline hydrolysis, enzymatic hydrolysis, alcoholysis, direct solvent extraction, and supercritical fluid extraction.

  • Agilent Gel Permeation Chromatography for Clean-up of Soil Sediments using HPLC

  • Agilent Protein purification characterization using the 1100 Series purification system the 2100 bioanalyzer

Orthogonal methods for protein purification and purity analysis are important to determine with certainty protein identity and purity. The Agilent 1100 Series purification system and the Agilent 2100 bioanalyzer with the Protein 200 Plus LabChip® kit provide an ideal solution that ensures efficient and reliable protein purification and characterization.

  • Agilent Using Statistical Peak Identification

This article introduces the Statistical Peak Identification feature in Agilent Technologies' Cerity NDS for Chemical QA/QC, which addresses the complications in traditional peak identification algorithms caused by peak shifts, changes in concentration, and external forces. It provides a more robust quantitation.

  • Agilent Protein sizing analysis using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer Protein 200 LabChip kit

This application note describes the methods for measuring protein size and protein expression using the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer and Protein 200 LabChip® kit.
