This document describes the features and characteristics of Agilent CombiZorb Scavengers, including non-swelling, broad solvent compatibility, no metal content, and no static electricity.
Agilent CombiZorb Scavengers are designed for the removal of unwanted components from combinatorial chemistry reaction mixtures. They are based on either ultrapure porous silica microspheres or macroporous polystyrene divinylbenzene (MP PS/DVB). These scavengers offer higher capacity per unit volume compared to gel-type resins and feature no swelling, making them usable in various formats like cartridges, columns, or 96-well plates. They are compatible with both polar and non-polar solvents without the need to switch solvents between reaction and scavenging steps.
| Silica Basis Purity | 99.995% pure porous silica microspheres |
|---|---|
| Density (Silica) | 1.3 g/ml |
| Density (MP) | 0.6 g/ml |
They provide more capacity per unit volume and do not require pre-swelling.
They can be used in different formats like cartridges, columns, or 96-well plates.
