The 1SMA5.0AT3 Series consists of unidirectional plastic surface mount Zener overvoltage transient suppressors designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from high voltage, high energy transients. These devices feature excellent clamping capability, high surge capability, low zener impedance, and a fast response time of typically less than 1 ns. They are supplied in ON Semiconductor's Surmetic package, which is suitable for top slide or bottom circuit board mounting.
