This document describes the MC7800, MC7800A, and NCV7805, three models of 1.0A positive voltage regulators. These voltage regulators are monolithic integrated circuits designed for a wide range of applications, including local and on-card voltage regulation. They feature internal current limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation. With sufficient heat sinking, they can provide output currents exceeding 1.0A. While primarily designed as fixed voltage regulators, these devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.

MC7800, MC7800A, NCV7805 1.0 A Positive Voltage Regulators are monolithic integrated circuits designed as fixed−voltage regulators for a wide variety of applications including local, on−card regulation.
