This document describes the MITSUBISHI HVIGBT modules CM2400HC-34N, released in July 2005. These modules are high power switching insulated type G IC HVIGBT modules. They have a current rating of 2400A and a voltage rating of 1700V. The modules are suitable for traction drives, high reliability converters/inverters, and DC choppers.
The CM2400HC-34N is a high‑voltage insulated‑gate bipolar transistor (HVIGBT) module designed for high‑power switching uses such as traction drives, converters, inverters, and DC choppers. It features an insulated type construction with a single element per pack and an AISiC baseplate.
The datasheet lists maximum ratings (1700 V collector‑emitter voltage, 2400 A collector current, 13 100 W power dissipation), electrical characteristics (gate charge, capacitances), thermal data (junction‑to‑case resistance 95 K/kW, operating temperature up to +150 °C), and mechanical dimensions (mass 0.8 kg, mounting screw sizes). Performance curves and switching time data are also provided.
