Agilent ZORBAX SB-C8, SB-C3 Column Retentivity Comparison Triton X-114

SB-C3 is a shorter-chain bonded phase that is less retentive than SB-C8 but more retentive than a non-sterically protected TMS phase. SB-C3 can be used to decrease solute retention and is more stable than the non-sterically protected TMS phase.
