The document describes a light guide that can be used as a substitute for FEL and can be connected to similar or other FEL components. The light guide has an ESD strength of 6.5kV when the length is 2.5mm. Made of PC material, it can be used in applications with an ambient temperature of -40°C to +85°C. The light guide is used in conjunction with SMD LEDs in Mini TOPLED package.
The OSRAM 1280.1020 light guide is presented as a FEL‑substitute component for use with SMD Mini TOPLED LEDs. It is mounted on a printed circuit board via press‑in lugs and is available in custom lengths from 0.5 mm to 20 mm.
Technical data include a PC clear UL94 material, an ambient operating temperature from –40 °C to +85 °C, and an ESD‑strength of 6.5 kV at a 2.5 mm length (approximately +1 kV per additional millimetre). Recommended LEDs and layout suggestions are provided in the accompanying pages. This manual is written in German.
