M-Tubes are LED light tubes from Mentor that offer low energy and long life. They combine the characteristics of fluorescent and cold cathode technologies with the advantages of LEDs. M-Tubes are available in standard and high-brightness versions and are input through a crystal-clear light guide tube. They can be used in multiple applications, including architecture, industrial electronics, household and automotive.
Mentor’s M‑Tube series offers both flexible and rigid LED‑powered light guides up to 700 mm long with 6 mm or 10 mm diameters. The tubes use standard or hi‑brightness LEDs and a printed reflective strip to deliver even, diffused light without hot spots. They operate from –40 °C to +70 °C, have a service life of about 50 000 hours to 50 % brightness, and generate minimal heat.
The product line is suited for a wide range of uses, including architectural lighting, switchgear cabinet illumination, automotive and marine signal lights, and decorative back‑lighting.
