OPTEK Long Distance Reflective Switch OPB720A and OPB720B Series. The OPB720A and OPB720B Series reflective switches detects objects as far away as 12” (305 mm) using standard 90% reflective material, and can detect objects as small as 0.08” (2 mm).
The OPB720A and OPB720B series are long‑distance reflective switches that detect objects from 0.04" up to 12" (305 mm) using 90% reflective material. They can recognize targets as small as 0.08" (2 mm) and reject ambient light below 100 kLux. The sensors output an open‑collector signal compatible with most PLCs and TTL gates.
The manual lists electrical characteristics such as supply voltage (10‑30 V for OPB720A, 4‑7 V for OPB720B), operating temperature ranges (0 °C to +50 °C or +70 °C), maximum collector voltage (30 V), collector current (50 mA) and power dissipation (300 mW).
