The OPB960/ 970/ 980/ 990 series of non-contact Photologic® slotted optical switches provides flexibility in meeting application specific requirements for the design engineer.
The OPB960/970/980/990 series of non‑contact Photologic® slotted optical switches provides designers with flexible choices for logic output (buffer or inverter), driver circuits (totem‑pole or open‑collector), aperture width, aperture surface (covered or open) and mounting tab locations. Options for wire or PCB leads give additional flexibility for electrical interfacing, and the opaque plastic housing reduces sensitivity to visible and near‑infrared ambient light.
Key electrical characteristics include a supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 16 V, input diode forward voltage of 1.70 V, reverse current of 100 µA, and LED emission in the 850‑940 nm near‑infrared band. The device is rated for operation from –40 °C to +70 °C and complies with the EU RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
| Supply Voltage (VCC) | 4.5 V – 16 V |
|---|---|
| Input Diode Forward Voltage (VF) | 1.70 V |
| Input Diode Reverse Current (IR) | 100 µA |
| LED Emission Wavelength | 850 nm – 940 nm (near‑infrared) |
