The AD808 is a fiber optic receiver with quantizer and clock recovery and data retiming functions. The product meets the CCITT G.958 standard for STM-4 regeneration, and Bellcore TR-NWT-000253 standard for OC-12. Its output jitter is 2.5 degrees RMS, supports 622 Mbps clock recovery and data retiming, accepts NRZ data, no preamble required, and uses a phase-locked loop clock recovery, no crystal required. Its quantizer sensitivity is 4 mV, and its programmable level detection range is 10 mV to 40 mV. It can operate on a single power supply with a voltage range of +5 V or -5.2 V. Its power consumption is 400 mW, and its output is compatible with 10 KH ECL/PECL. It is packaged in a 16-lead narrow 150 mil SOIC.
