This document is an instruction manual for electronic speed controllers (ESCs) for ESC 1000 and ESC 2000. Electronic speed controller is an electronic device that controls the speed of the motor. It can achieve very smooth control, maximize battery run time, and reduce operating temperatures.
This manual provides operating instructions for the Duratrax ESC 1000 and ESC 2000 electronic speed controls. It details features such as high-frequency operation and LED indicators, along with specific electrical ratings for each model including input voltage and current limits.
The document guides users through installation steps, including mounting the receiver and speed control to minimize radio interference. It also explains how to program neutral, full throttle, and reverse points via a setup button on the transmitter.
| Input Power (ESC 1000) | 4.8 - 7.2 volts DC (4-6 cells) |
|---|---|
| Current Rating Forward (ESC 1000) | 10 amps |
| Input Power (ESC 2000) | 4.8 - 7.2 volts DC (4-6 cells) |
| Current Rating Forward (ESC 2000) | 20 amps |
| Operating Frequency | 13.9 kHz |
The ESC 2000 is designed to be used with up to 20A peak motors.
Leave the throttle trigger in the neutral position and press the setup button once until the green LED flashes.
Radio interference can cause the ESC to rapidly switch between forward and brake, overheating the transistors.
