This document introduces a product called MOLDED ASSEMBLY, which is a local area network IEEE-488 interface bus cable. The product consists of various cables with different specifications and has multiple features and characteristics, such as an operating temperature range of -20°C to 80°C, a voltage rating of 300 volts, and high reliability.
The Alpha Wire 5900 series IEEE‑488 (GPIB) interface bus cables are intended for system development, reconfiguration and maintenance of test and measurement equipment. They support up to fifteen devices on a single bus and meet the IEEE‑488 standard for reliable communication.
The cables are available in molded assemblies and single‑conductor formats, offering twisted‑pair and single‑wire options with defined color codes, PVC insulation, and a braided copper shield. Electrical characteristics include specific resistance, capacitance, and characteristic impedance values for both single conductors and pairs.
