Buccaneer is a series of IP68 waterproof USB connectors launched by Bulgin, which has plug and play capability, visual mating indication, shielded system, single and double ended cables, screw coupling, adaptor leads, dust and waterproof sealing when mated, low and high speed bus connection, hot pluggable, standard 4 pole interface, alignment indicator reduces risk of damage during mating, high noise immunity and EMI protection, suitable for PC and peripheral configuration, secure, proven locking system, for use on PCBs.
The USB Buccaneer series provides IP68‑rated sealing for both A‑type and B‑type USB connectors. Over‑moulded assemblies, O‑rings, and panel gaskets maintain a waterproof seal, while visual alignment indicators help prevent damage during mating.
The product line includes single‑ended and double‑ended cable assemblies in 2 m, 3 m and 5 m lengths, as well as panel‑mount connectors and sealing caps. Technical data such as current rating (1 A), voltage rating (30 Vac RMS), operating temperature (‑40 °C to +70 °C) and mating cycles (1 000) are provided for each variant.
